One of our new favourites. This wine is effectively the second wine of Chryseia (one of the top still red wines coming from the Douro Valley in Portugal). A joint project from the Symington family and Bruno Prats (of Ch Cos d’Estournel fame). They make arguably some of Portugal’s finest dry wines and this elegant, aromatic yet ripe and fruity example showcases exactly why. Fairly full bodied and long but with a balanced structure and glorious spicy, violet infused blackberry and blueberry fruit. Great with a Sausage casserole.
